Why I Signed Up For HubPages
61Why I Signed Up for HubPages
I am a freelance writer but up until a few weeks back I haven't really done any blogging or online postings. I just take on jobs, submit to clients and basically make money doing that. It's less risky, I guess, and payment is almost guaranteed (I say "almost" - read my post about being duped by buyers). But, it's also one-time and more often than not, the buyers will own the rights to the content.
Now that I have some regular freelance writing jobs (almost contractual, I don't have to bid for works everytime), I have some time to spend pursuing other means of earning from the online world.
So I chanced upon some articles about sites where writers can create their articles and get paid from views or clicks generated by those articles. I've heard of Triond, Helium, Blogger, Bukisa, and I tried them all! (Silly, some would say!) Then I read about HubPages which seems to receive very positive feedbacks from its...hubbers (did I say it right?). And so I thought I should start with that, too.
You could say it's an experiment for me - checking which ones will generate the most income. I know that it doesn't come quickly, and grandly, but I have always been a persevering person. So I hope that in time I will earn from these sites, too.
And, I own all the content I publish on HubPages, so all's good!
I will let you know how my experiment turns out. Keep your fingers crossed for me!

Welcome! I've researched those sites and from all I can discover, HubPages pays the best of all of them. Presentation, length of Hub and SEO are all important. I recommend you read all Darkside's Hubs about how to write and lay out Hubs - then start on Lissie's Hubs about how to make money online. good luck!
Hubpages has been an experiment for me too. I heve never created a web page before and although I love writing have not created anything in many years. My business has been top prority, but now I have lots of free time. Do you think this is the best way for me to start off again?

I haven't written for all those sites but the consensus seems to be that HubPages is the best out there as far as the revenue share sites go
